The 2018 World Junior Ultimate Championship is being hosted across multiple venues. The primary venue will be RIM Park at the Manulife Financial Sportsplex with a secondary venue at Kiwanis Ultimate Park.
RIM Park/Manulife Financial Sportsplex
This site will serve as the primary venue and be home to most games, the showcase field, the finals field, opening and closing ceremonies, trade night as well as all merchandise vendors. RIM Park offers two (2) artificial turf fields and eight (8) grass fields. The venue has two field clusters that are 600 m apart with the Manulife Financial Sportsplex located between them. The main field cluster has two (2) artificial turf fields and four (4) grass fields while the remaining four (4) grass fields are in the other cluster. The artificial turf fields were installed in 2010 and are currently in great condition while offering more than enough space to house an ultimate pitch. The grass fields are soccer fields at heart, but offer ample space for ultimate fields and out of bounds space for player sidelines and spectators. Be sure to pack footwear that can be used on either surface as teams will play on both real grass and artificial turf!
With RIM Park serving as the host site for both the 2011 Canadian University Ultimate Championships and the 2014 Canadian Ultimate Championships it's no stranger to elite level ultimate and we're more than sure you'll enjoy your time playing here. Between games, be sure to enjoy some of the local walking trails along the river or the amenities of the Manulife Financial Sportsplex. The Sportsplex offers a number of amenities such as:
- Restaurant and food kiosks
- Public washrooms
- Changing rooms
- Water fountains
- First aid, medical and athletic therapy services
- Seating/tables to get out of the sun and relax
- Public WiFi zone
